Vendimia wine Rioja Santiago Vendimia Seleccionada 2005 was produced by Bodegas Rioja Santiago in their search for a Rioja Vendimia wine that provides maximum enjoyment on the palate. Rioja Santiago Vendimia Seleccionada 2005 has the personal stamp of winemaker Carlos Soto. He developed Vendimia Seleccionada as an exclusive, elegant and balanced red Vendimia wine from a selection of Tempranillo grapes harvested at their optimal maturation in the Rioja Alta. The grapes were fermented at a temperature of 30° Celsius with a maceration of 25 days in storage. Aged for at least 12 months in Oak barrels and then for an extended period in the bottles, the result is a red wine with good body, red garnet color and high-intensity. Rioja Santiago Vendimia Seleccionada 2005 has powerful aromas of red fruits with nuances of vanilla. It has a good body with a very flavorful and silky taste of black berries and fruits, sweet tannins and a long finish. While most Rioja wines are best with food, this is one that you can drink by itself or enjoy it with red meats, lamb, chicken and spicy dishes.
