| Tinto Wine Isabena 2006 is produced from three grape varieties; Garnacha, Syrah and Merlot. Isabena red tinto is blended after maceration and aging, giving this meritage a delightfully fruity aroma and taste. Isabena 2006 is a red wine with intense color and shades of red and blue. The nose shows predominantly fruity aromas together with the soft tannins imparted by the wood. In the mouth it is meaty, well balanced and lightly spicy. Isabena 2006 Tinto is a grat wine at an even greater price. The individual Garnacha, Merlot and Syrah grapes are macerated over a period of 10 days. During fermentation the temperature is regulated at 25ºC to preserve the character of the fruit. After malolactic fermentation has taken place, a period of enrichment in wood gives the wine its own personality. The Syrah and the Garnacha are left to develop in American oak barrels for 4 months, while the Merlot matures for 6 months in French oak barrels. The tinto wine is blended once the aging process has been completed. It pairs well with tapas, meat, pasta, oily fish and cheeses.
