| California Cabernet Red Wine Anamoly Cabernet Sauvignon is the wine that collectors are talking about. Anomaly Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 in the small bottle captures the richness of this ripe, warm and low-yielding year. The 375 ML bottle of wine offers aromas of hazelnut, cocoa powder, dried herbs and dense dark fruits. Notes of black cherry, tamarind and graphite flesh out its seamless palate. Firm, sweet tannins provide a supple, confident and creamy foundation before culminating in Anomaly's signature, velvety finish.

Anomaly Vineyards is located at the base of the western hills of California's Napa Valley in the small town of St. Helena (current population is 6,000). Anomaly specializes in the production of the highest-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. The first vintage of Anomaly, harvested in 1997 is currently available only for charity auctions. All of the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit for Anomaly is grown on the three vineyards that surround the winery site. 6 acres of the vineyards are planted to the Bordeaux varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Anomoly specializes in the production of just one wine, the Anomaly Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
Owners Steve and Linda Goldfarb serve as stewards of the property, while relying on Winemaker Mark Porembski to frame the grace of the vineyard in each successive vintage. Although
drinking beautifully now, the 2004 Anomaly will continue to evolve in the cellar and could be held to age for a decade (2017) or more.
RATING: 92 - Wine Enthusiast
Anomaly 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley). Bright and forward in red and black cherry, plum and new oak aromas, this lush Bordeaux blend comes from two small vineyards in St. Helena. It has a smooth, silky texture, very seductive and charming. Luscious now, but has the structural integrity to age through 2012.
A+ Rating - Bon Vivant Wine Guide
"Another pure, black and blue fruit filled offering from our tasting at the winery, the 2004 barrel sample was to be bottled shortly after our visit and we look forward to its release. The wine was juicy, seductive and mouthwatering and we noted that we just wanted to drink this up as it opened. What else can we say? It was a little tight and nervy given it was a barrel sample and we expect that to mellow out with a little bottle age. It is still made in its rich Napa floor style yet restrained and not to soft, just the way we like it. Winemaker Mark Porembski has kept the style very similar between the vintages and we hope it continues. We expect big things from this winery and will keep an eye on its wines' evolutions"
