| Moscato Wine is a great sparkling desert wine. Gagliardo Moscato La Villa is everything that you expect from an Italian Moscato. We challenge anyone not to instantly fall in love with this Moscato wine. Villa M Moscato grapes are picked early, following a soft pressing; the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks at near freezing temperatures to arrest any additional fermentation. The wonderful end result is a distinctive sweet wine with fruity perfume and low alcohol. Hints of almond, melon and ripe stone fruit tickle the nose. Delightfully small bubbles, pear, melon, passion fruit and crisp apple tones, which are perfect with pastries, fruits, custards and long-fermented cheeses. This sweet elegant wine will truly make any occasion sparkle.
The grapes picked during the second half of September are immediately and softly pressed. The juice is immediately cooled, cleaned and stocked avoiding the fermentation. During the partial fermentation (up to 5% of alcohol) in pressure tanks at controlled temperature this wine takes the little effervescence and froth. As a result, Villa M is decidedly sweet, delicious and aromatic.
This winemaking family goes back six generations in the area. The grapes grown on each single vineyard are all vinified separately, by hand and with small, high-quality yields. At Present the Gagliardo estate is composed of 30 hectares. This land is distributed in the zones of La Morra, Barolo, Serralunga and Monticello d' Alba.
