| One of the top Australian wines, Voyager Estate 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is aged for 24 months in French Oak barrels. 50% of the barrels are new and 50% two-year-old with regular topping and racking. Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2002 has a deep claret color. This stylish top Australian wine shows elegance and concentration with brooding cassis fruit, delicate tannins and cedary, integrated oak. Complex and inviting, the structure is fine, the fruit intense and the finish persistently long. From a top rating of 96 points by the Australian Wine Companion to the 95 points by the Australian Wine Annual, this is a wine that all critics agree is a top wine. Drink it through 2020.
Voyager Estate is located in the premium wine producing region of Margaret River, Western Australia. Latest statistics show that, although only producing 4% of Australia's wine by volume, Margaret River wines account for 23% of the country's premium wine production. Some of the varietals in the region produce the highest rated wine of Australia. Voyager Estate is proud to be among the select wineries that contribute to this production. Their oldest vines date back to 1978. When current owner, Michael Wright, took over the property in 1991, he set out to expand it and develop a visitor destination that would be a showcase for the region. He also set out to ensure that, above all else, the quality of wine being made at Voyager Estate would always be the best that nature, expertise and pure hard work could provide. Ratings and reviews show that he has suceeded.

"The VOYAGER ESTATE 2002 CABERNET SAUVIGNON has lovely aromatics consisting of blackberries, cassis, blood plums, dark chocolate and cedary oak. The wine is distinguished by its fine, integrated, chalky tannins that are supported by strong fruit flavours, interesting texture and quality French oak.
